| Biographical information | Isabelle Tracol-Huynh is a French graduate of the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon (ENS de Lyon) and she is an agrégée. She is currently a PhD candidate in History at Lyon University and Lyons Institute of East Asian Studies (IAO) under the supervision of Christian Henriot. Her thesis focuses on prostitution in colonial Tonkin, regulation of prostitution, racial categories, venereal diseases, and their treatment. (JVS, Vol. 7, no. 1, Winter 2012, p. 38). |
